Welcome to the second issue of the Infinite Wisdom newsletter, “Birthing a New World Order”. We feel as St. Teresa of Avila did that we have very little worth saying that doesn’t come directly from God so, as promised in our inaugural issue, the core of this newsletter is channeled. Like St. Therese of Lisieux, we believe that all meaningful information is contained in the God-consciousness that surrounds and permeates us and therefore these insights do not belong to us or to any other person. They are meant to be shared with all. Some insights will resonate with you and others will not. I am hopeful that what resonates will be used for your greatest good and what does not, you will simply ignore.
I will try to spare you from my "thoughts" although from time to time the may be included along with some of my favorite quotes, anecdotes and book titles.
Namaste,
Theresa
Reaching the level of 'unconditional love’ will involve some of your hardest lessons. The universe will put in your life people who are difficult to love. Then it will wait patiently as you struggle with your feelings; not that the universe wants you to struggle. It wants you to reach a level of consciousness whereby you can love unconditionally. The struggle is within you. It need not be a struggle if you can put aside judgment. It is not and never has been our job to judge others thereby deciding if they are ‘worthy’ of our love. If you believe in an All-Loving-Presence and the person you judge is good enough for God/the Universe to love than who are you to decide otherwise?
You may decide you don’t like ones’ actions but must learn to separate the actions from the person who is a child of God. Know you not that God has asked this child to act as he/she does just so you may have the opportunity to learn to love unconditionally? Once you shift your perception in this regard you will find it easier to feel compassion and in feeling compassion you learn to love unconditionally. Once the lessons are learned you will find you are no longer confronted by ‘people who are hard to love.’ This is your gift from the universe. Once the lesson is learned you will not be ‘tested’ again at least on a personal level. The lesson however may be expanded to a community wide, national or global level.
Know that every situation you read or hear about, even if not in your immediate sphere, is a chance to learn, a chance to stop judging, to show compassion, forgiveness and love. Try it. Take a situation and try shifting your perception. Start with someone in your life who is difficult to love. Know they carry with them a lesson made-to-order by the universe. Begin by no longer judging them. Acknowledge them as one of your ‘teachers’ and thank them for taking on a role that may be particularly odious. You will know when you’ve accomplished this because you will automatically begin to feel compassion and with compassion comes love and with these feelings fully entrenched, you reach a state of consciousness called unconditional love. This is a higher vibrational level that brings more peace and joy into your life; even a life that is already filled with peace and joy may benefit. For lives already rooted in peace and joy, this practice will bring you to a more blissful state than the one you currently enjoy.
Many blessings to you, to those you learn to love, and to those that for now have sacrificed their own happiness to teach you. (End of channeled message)
What follows is a partial list of additional methods to help you to raise your level of consciousness. The option you choose should be one that does not need to be force fit into your life or belief system. There are many roads to enlightenment and you should choose the one that best suites you.
To raise your level of consciousness you must come to deeper levels of awareness, i.e., a deeper sense of connection with your Higher Self. How you choose to evolve does not matter. What does matter is that you have a practice whereby you consistently raise your level of consciousness.
As David Hawkins MD PhD and other spiritual teachers have affirmed, whatever method you choose to attain higher levels of consciousness is the right method. The method is irrelevant to the end. The end is accomplished through your intention which is one of the main tools. It sets up priorities and hierarchies of values that energize your efforts. If your intention is pure and motivated by love, then the goal, if it is for the greatest good of all who would be affected, may be accomplished.
Quietness and stillness (of mind) are essential. Inner awareness increases in proportion to the quieting down of the mind. This stillness is the aim of all spiritual practices, not only of traditional meditative disciplines which involve sitting quietly. All of the activities listed below may be used to attain interior stillness.
Choose the method you feel will help you to achieve your highest level of awareness and commit to practicing it. Allow it to bring you to a place of unity with your Divine Nature. As the Bhagavad-Gita says, "In the unitive experience, every trace of separateness disappears; life is a seamless whole. But the body cannot remain in this state for long. After a while, awareness of the mind and body returns, and then the conventional world of multiplicity rushes in again with such vigor and vividness that the memory of unity, though stamped with reality, seems as distant as a dream. The unitive state has to be entered over and over until a person is established in it. But once established, even in the midst of ordinary life, he sees the One underlying the many, the Eternal beneath the ephemeral." They knew 3,000 years ago when the Gita was written that staying in the unitive state was difficult, it needed to be practiced over and over until it was your nature. This is still true today.
When we see the "One underlying the many, the Eternal beneath the ephemeral" we can begin to experience the state required for unconditional love and this is what the universe asks of us…to extend ourselves in a vision of unconditional love of ourselves and of all humanity.
