The Power of Forgiveness

Your act of forgiving one forgives many. Your act of forgiving two forgives many more.  ~Holy Spirit~

Forgiveness wipes the karmic slate clean. If we truly forgive ourselves and others, then we are no longer tied up in a web of karmic debt. Why wouldn’t we want to be extricate from such a web? Spirit goes further in this message to tell us that the vibration of our forgiveness is compounded and spreads throughout humanity. Jesus’ forgiveness on the cross was so powerful that it wiped everyone’s karmic slate clean. We may not yet be as powerful as Jesus, but we can follow his lead and forgive everyone in our personal lives and, in accordance with our individual capacities, forgive those who create chaos in our national and global communities. This is sacred activism and is something we can all do to make the world a better place.

Forgiveness is a gift to our hearts as well as the hearts of others. It allows the connection within us become more spacious with Spirit / God. The light that is there has more room to breath, to heal. That has been my experience, which I can be grateful for always.

I agree. As the Buddha says, “Holding onto anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else: You are the one who gets burned.” Forgiveness allows us put down the hot coal; or better yet, it encourages us not to pick it up in the first place.
